Furs

Any of the Vair shapes (Vair, Ancien, Potent) can be combined with any of the arrangements (Standard, In Pale, Counter-, En Point).

There are a variety of ermine spot shapes, all of which are considered equivalent.

Any of the furs can be used with any combination of one colour and one metal; tinctures other than the defaults must be blazoned explicitly (Vairy X and Y / Potenty X and Y / X ermined Y).

Field Treatments

Despite the name, field treatments can also be applied to charges. Field treatments are blazoned base tincture treatment tincture (e.g Argent masoned sable).

Semy means 'strewn with', and can use any charge that can maintain identifiability at very small sizes. Semy may be drawn with more or fewer charges, either scattered randomly or with some of the charges cut off at the edges, as if cut out from pattered cloth. Some semys have specific names.
